THIS & THAT

A few weeks ago I posted this sneak preview of Ava's Halloween costume...you can see her in full costume at the end of this post!



Following Tiffany's (Eliza's Story) idea to post some of Ava's art work rather than try and save it all. For your viewing pleasure:

When I ask Ava to draw "Hugs & Kisses" this is what I get:

The first time I got something other than scribble when I asked Ava to draw the letter "A"!

The first time Ava copies her name...not bad eh!

*other than her Signing Time video's and Dan Zanes concert DVD the only thing Ava has any interest in watching is "Shrek 2". I have a bunch of videos but this is the one that caught her eye and she'd watch it several times a day if I let her!

VISITING OUR LOCAL PUMPKIN FARM

Today, Ava and I along with my friend Mary and her daughter Nicole spent some time at our local pumpkin farm. There was lots to do. First off the girls got their faces painted...Ava had a pumpkin painted on her cheek to match her shirt and Nicole had her face painted like a puppy!
Next we headed to the barn to visit all the animals, followed by a pony ride. Ava had to stop to pick up some interesting looking rocks on the way. We made our way through the corn maze and then took a wagon ride out to the pumpkin field to pick our own pumpkin. We had a great time.

IMPROMPTU PHOTO SHOOT!!

With it being such a beautiful day...24 degrees C (exceptionally warm for mid October), Ava, Jessie our Lab and I spent a few hours at our local conservation area enjoying the fall colours and the sunshine. At the last minute I decided to take along my camera and see what luck I would have with my seldom cooperative subject!
