OK, I'm guilty...I've never taken Ava to church. I didn't really see the sense as she can't sit still for 5 minutes let alone one hour...and besides there isn't a children's service at the church we would attend. But I have recently learned that my Mom who sits for me when I am on evenings or weekends has been bringing her bottle of blessed "Holy water" and taught Ava how to bless herself and do the sign of the cross. We were playing in the back yard and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw her make the sign of the cross and when I asked her to show me what she just did, this is what I got.
Ever since that day, every time she has a cup of water to rinse after brushing her teeth, or passes a puddle while riding her bike she will stop and stick her fingers in and bless herself!
Ava's latest favourite song...she will serenade you with it wether she is in the shopping cart at Walmart, eating in a restaurant, riding in her car seat or laying in bed at night!
