TIANANAMEN SQUARE AND FORBIDDEN CITY

WE'RE IN BEIJING!!!

Well we got to our hotel in Beijing Sunday evening around 5:30pm checked in and walked with our guide to a local grocery store to get some bottled water and a snack for before bed as we were all feeling pretty rough after our long flight. It's actually around 2-3am Vancouver time...which our bodies are still on! I'm still fighting a sinus infection and very sore throat...so hoping a 12 hour sleep will improve things. It's now 7pm and we are all of to bed....not too much excitement this first night.
Tomorrow we are off to Tiananmen square and the forbidden city, will try and post pictures.

SRING TIME IN VANCOUVER

When we arrived in Vancouver last evening it was raining and overcast...so no mountains to be seen! This morning the sun came out and we went out for a walk before leaving for the airport. All the spring flowers are in bloom...but still can't see any mountians...maybe from the plane!
