OUR LAST HURRAH!!!

Well, I head back to work tomorrow after being home with Ava for almost 10 months! It's going to be hard to not be with her all day every day but I am looking forward to a pay check again...so I can start to pay off my adoption and parental leave debt.
For our last Hurrah, Ava and I spent last week in Peurto Plata, Dominican Republic with my friend Mary and her three kids. We had a great time and already miss the sun and heat! I didn't think she would but after reading about Sen's girls napping by the poolside while in Cuba I tryed having Ava nap in her stroller on the beach...she slept two hours in it each day we spent there! The last day there we took an "Outback Safari Tour" going into the countryside, visiting a local family in their home, children in their school and at the end of the day we were taken to a secluded beach and went boogie boarding...well everyone else went boogie boarding...Ava and I tryed our luck at a few more pictures. Here they are below.

More pics of our week away.

Boo hoo you are back to the land of the living...that is if you keep em that way :)
Your year has flown by from my perspective. SO GLAD you decided a vacay was in order, and More happy that AVA slept as promised in the stroller to give you time to sip margaritas!

Sounds heavenly Liz! Especially the part about Ava sleeping for two hours in the stroller everyday. Your pictures are beautiful.

Good luck tomorrow as you experience some more "firsts". Hope it all goes well for both of you.

Oh I so wish we were at the beach. It is freezing here....no school today in fact!

As far as my blog....I would think you could do it with the one you are currently using. Verna made mine.

The scrap material I get is from various online places. Most range between $5-7's for a kit. You just download and save.

I create them on Foto Fusion which has a free download you can use unless you want to buy the scrap book one to help with more layouts.

I'm amazed at how easy it really is....it's also an outlet for my creativity. I'm having a ton of fun with it!

If you have any tips for me I'd love to hear them!

You are such a cool mom! I can't believe it's been nearly 10 months since you've been home with Ava. On my log in day, you had just arrived in Beijing. Time is flying. Before I know it, I'll have my daughter, too. I hope some day to meet you.
