Ava is scheduled to have her first surgery tomorrow at Sick Kid's in Toronto to repair her lip.
I'm asking anyone out there who has time, to say a little prayer that everything goes well and that we both get through the next three weeks that she has to be in arm splints(to keep her hands away from her mouth). I'll post an update as soon as I can.

Oh Liz I had no idea. I will keep my fingers crossed that all goes well (as I am sure that it will).

I had a feeling the surgery was coming soon. Poor baby! I'll pray for her, and you, right now.
If you can, will blog about it? I feel that so many more would be adopting cleft effected kids if they knew more about the surgeries and saw how fast the kids bounce right back.

It's almost 9:30 on Wednesday morning now and you and Ava have been in my thoughts and prayers often this morning. Continuing to lift Ava, the doctors, nurses, anethetists (sp?) and you before the throne of grace this morning and throughout today.
I of course will be praying for little Ava.

I pray it goes very well and that your time in the hospital is wonderful. Ava already has the sweetest smile in the world, I can not imagine how much more they could improve on her sweet face! I am so glad to hear that things went well. You and Ava are in my thoughts and prayers. I can't explain it, there just is a place in my heart for that little girl.
I hadn't been back to visit you since you came back from China with Ava. Then for some reason my mind turned to you today and so I decided I would see how you and Ava were going and read that she was going into hospital. You have all my wishes.We are 15 months into the wait today and suffice to say a little down about it. Seeing Ava so happy gave me a pep about our little Shauna at the other end of the 'red thread' just waiting for us. Take care... Fliss
