PURSE MEME!

PURSE MEME....

I've been tagged by Red Mary Janes over at "The seventh Diamond" to post a picture of my purse and its contents. Until recently I never carried a purse, just my wallet...but now I seem to be packing a few more items and needed something to carry it all in. My purse isn't anything fancy, it's just a "AmeriBag" or "Healthy Back Bag" which I need... as any nurse knows once you hit 40 if you're still in the profession you probably have a "bad back".
The contents of my bag: wipes, a diaper or two(used the last one this evening) and am not entering Ava's room just to get one for the picture for fear of waking her up. Sippy cup, container of fish crackers, a couple bibs, a couple of Ava's books, a pair of socks for the indoor playground we go to as I never wear socks from mid May to October(not that I shouldn't as I have the ugliest toe nails going),kleenex, gum, crystal light singles, day planner, cell phone, pen, wallet, lipstick(which I rarely wear), Ava's announcement card with her referral picture and her immunization record from China.

SHOWER FOR AVA AND I FROM MY FRIENDS IN ICU!

Last night Sherri, my very good friend and China travel partner hosted a shower for Ava and I by the ICU Staff I used to work with. I spent most of my nursing career working in ICU, but have been in PACU for three years now...I was honoured that they all still wanted to have a shower for us. It was great to see everyone...some who I haven't seen for almost 5 years!

Everyone enjoying dinner...and of course catching up on gossip!

Getting lots of help with the gift opening!

Some of the beautiful gifts Ava received in addition to many generous monetary gifts which I deposited directly into her education fund.
Thank you all so much for the wonderful shower and your generosity. We had a great time.
Thank you Sherri for organizing everything, as always you were a great hostess and a wonderful friend!

HAVING FUN AT AN INDOOR PLAYGROUND!

Last week Ava met with Nicole, my god daughter and her brother Matthew for a play day at an indoor playground in Pickering. As you can see they had a blast playing together in the ball castle, the bouncing castle as well as all the other toys. Ava especially loved the bouncing castle, even though she couldn't stay on her feet!!
