MY GIRL ON HER SECOND BIRTHDAY!

My little "Peanut" is two years old today!
She is now 20lbs and 76cm long.
She wears size 9-12 months clothing.
She wears a size 3 shoe.
She runs, jumps, hops on one foot and can climb her slide herself.
She can now use both a spoon and a fork.
She doesn't have any words yet(due to the cleft), but babbles and sings constantly.
She now knows 6 signs: milk, more, all done, banana, cracker and eat.
She knows several body parts: eyes, nose, mouth, tonge, teeth, ears and hair...she will point to them on herself and them on mommy.
She really has no interest in television...she is far too interested in exploring her surroundings right now!
Her favorite toy right now is her grocery cart...she loves to fill it with an assortment of other toys and push it around the house.
She also loves books.

This is a picture of my birthday girl first thing this morning!

Still going strong after a full day!

We had Ava's appointment with the pediatrician today, it was originally booked for noon but needed to be changed to 5pm because of the doctor's previous committment...so we decided(well mommy decided) that we would have Ava's birthday party tomorrow night instead....stay tuned for Pics!

GIFTS FOR AVA

Ava modeling the beautiful sweater that she received from Ivale, Mike and Emily; our neighbors at the cottage. Ivale did a great job knitting it. Thank you all so much.

My cousin Theresa and her family sent these gorgeous outfits and swimsuit for Ava as well as these two little stuffed dogs, one yellow and one black, just like Jessie and Abbey! Thanks Theresa, Peter, Jasmine, Campbell and Kristy-Leigh.

My cousin Anita gave me this beautiful quilt she made for Ava. Didn't she do a lovely job!

She also made this cuddley soft pink bubble fleece blanket for Ava.

Anita had sent this fleece blanket she made for Ava months ago when she sent her wish pages and fabric swatches...I had forgotten to post it. Isn't it bright and cheery! Thankyou so much Anita and Kevin for the lovely and thoughtful gifts. Ava will love them.

AVA'S FIRST TRIP TO THE COTTAGE

Well, Ava had her first trip to the cottage this long weekend. She was quite the trooper for the four hour trip in the car. She still sit backwards in her car seat because of her weight/height, so Jessie and Abbey kept her entertained peering at her from behind the dog barrier.
She had a fun filled weekend sitting on the deck soaking up the rays, trying out her first Coors light thanks to Papa, taking a walk on the beach, dipping her toes in the lake, wrestling with Jessie, watching the Sens game on TV with Papa and going to her first birthday party at her second cousins Mathieu's place. As you can see both the birthday boy and Ava quite enjoyed the birthday cake. She also cristened the kitchen sink for "Tubbie Time".
